A few quick facts about me:

❧ I'm thirtysomething, just for the record.

❧ My obsessions: Reading, writing, my guitar, musicmusicmusic, my son.

❧ I read just about anything and everything I can get my hands on. I listen to audio books and convert fic to mp3 files to listen to while I sleep. I adore classic literature.

❧ I'm addicted to the written word in general, but my constants are Jane Austen, slash fiction, The Nightrunner series (and everything else) by Lynn Flewelling, The Heralds of Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey. I'm not a big fan of TV, but some shows sneak in: Big Bang, Project Runway, Smallville, BBC's Merlin & Sherlock, Grey's Anatomy. I'm a movie addict. I *must* be learning, so I'm always into something new.

❧ My son has autism (he was profoundly disabled but can now function in a classroom of his peers, though he is far behind them socially) and I vent or cheer about that here sometimes, too. Those who've known me since he was a baby know mini!Alax has come a long way and I'm a very fiercely protective and proud mother.

❧ My Merlin fic are on A03 and ffnet.

❧ If you're looking for my nearly decade-old SV or HP fic, some of them are archived at AO3 and Skyehawke.

❧ All of my older fic are on my site, Inkwell Fiction, hosted by the lovely and talented shaggirl. I'll be updating the Merlin section of my site soon. For now, it's the hosting location for all merry_merthur fics.

Communities:

I mod for the Merlin team competition comm merlin_melee and participate, too! Round One was Hurt/Comfort: Emotional vs. Physical and Team Physical won - woohoo! I somehow managed to score highest for the best hurt in a fic! :D
